Jane Bennett
Biographical info

Jane Bennett is at an awkward age: old enough to know better and too young to understand the meaning of patience. She lives in her head, but pays too much attention to what her heart tells her of the countries she lives in and the women she is lucky enough to call her family. She is deeply attracted to language, as defence, as invitation, as conundrum.

She has worked as an activist, feminist, writer, and teacher. Her home is in Kalk Bay, Cape Town. She has written extensively as an academic.

Porcupine is her first publication as a fiction writer.
