Mwenye Hadithi (Bruce Hobson)
Bruce Hobson writes as Mwenye Hadithi (“story teller” in Swahili).
He was born in Nairobi, Kenya, with a wild garden full of gazelles and porcupines and warthogs. As a child he kept tarantula-like spiders as pets and at school they were often confronted by a troop of baboons on the hocky-field. He later went to rugbyschool in England and studied foreign literature at the London University. This is when he started collecting traditional African stories and began his writing career.
He is an outdoor person who also loves surfing. He lives in Nairobi, Kenya.
