Georges Hergé
Biographical info

Tintin was first created in 1929 by Georges Remi or Hergé as he is know worldwide.

This Belgian author and illustrator produced 24 volumes of the internationally famous bande dessinée by the time of his death – the last volume, Tintin and the Alpha-Art was published unfinished in 1986. He is known as the father of the modern European comic book and his style use of colour won him international acclaim.

The books were originally published in French, but has since then been translated into more than 40 languages.
