Marlize Hobbs
Biographical info

Marlize Hobbs was born in the Louwna area, about 80 km from Vryburg in the North West province. She was a missionary for two years in Hillbrow before she studied to be a social worker. She worked as a social worker in
Ganyesa and Vryburg.

In 2005 her first novel, Flarde, was awarded the UJ Prize for a debut, the Jan Rabie/Rapport Prize for innovative writing and the Eugène Marais award. Score my ’n gwai is her second novel.
