Donna Bryson
Biographical info

Donna Bryson is a seasoned American journalist who has lived in South Africa for several years. Her first foreign assignment brought her to the country in 1993 and allowed her to cover the first all-race elections. After stints reporting from India (1996-1999), Egypt (1999-2005) and the UK (2005-2008) she returned to the country.

She was appointed Johannesburg chief of bureau for The Associated Press (AP), a position she filled until 2012. She is now a freelance journalist and writer, living in Colorado with her husband and daughter.

It’s a Black-White Thing is her first book and was shortlisted for the City Press Tafelberg Nonfiction Award.
